As of August 15, 2024, BECOR added two new reduced rate membership categories (for seniors and educational institutions) and is pleased to offer six (6) categories of membership to its patrons to best accommodate their individual and corporate needs.
Student Membership – see Educational Membership for FREE student access.
The Student Membership category no longer exists, because BECOR has developed an improved system for FREE student access to BECOR events, under the membership of their post-secondary educational institution. Refer to Educational Membership for more details.
Individual Membership – This membership category is ideal for single proprietorship or limited partnership organizations or individuals wishing to become BECOR members and participate in BECOR events and activities. The fees associated with this individual membership category allows only the enrolled member to attend BECOR events and activities at reduced rates compared with non-member status. The individual membership is not transferable to others.
Senior Membership – This membership category is exactly the same as an Individual membership, except that Senior membership provides members who are 65 or older with a significant discount on the cost of the membership fee.
Corporate Membership – This membership category is ideally suited for organizations where multiple personnel may share membership and be enrolled as BECOR members and participate in BECOR events. Upon enrolling as a Corporate member, the organization’s account manager can add multiple individuals from within their organization to the Corporate membership. Each added individual is invited to set up and complete their own “sub-account” profile with BECOR, using their own work email address. The account manager will also have the ability to add or remove individuals as business requirements change.
Educational Membership – This membership category operates as a “Corporate” membership for post-secondary educational institutions, but at a much-discounted rate. Like Corporate, the account manager can invite professors and other personnel to have their own “sub-account” to attend BECOR events at member rates.
In addition, each Educational Member is granted an Education Liaison position on BECOR’s Organizing Committee, to ensure that their institution has a direct say at monthly Organizing Committee meetings and helps plan student initiatives for their institution. BECOR also has a dedicated Student Programs Officer to lead the planning of student initiatives, in conjunction with each institution’s Education Liaison and the entire Organizing Committee.
An Educational Member’s students receive FREE ADMISSION to BECOR events, with generous attendance limits controlled by each institution’s Education Liaison.
Furthermore, BECOR is working towards simulcasting in-person sessions so that students can remotely attend in-person sessions.
Premium Educational Membership – This category is a Corporate membership that includes up to five (5) PRE-PAID attendees (not students from this Academic institution) per BECOR event. Plus, this approach avoids the need for personnel to go through a time consuming an expense submission process each month, for every attendee, because the account manager simply registers attendees without any further work.
At this membership fee rate, your organization achieves cost savings if you average only 2-3 attendees per session, plus the administration savings.
Premium Corporate Membership – This category is a Corporate membership that includes up to five (5) PRE-PAID attendees per BECOR event. Plus, this approach avoids the need for personnel to go through a time consuming an expense submission process each month, for every attendee, because the account manager simply registers attendees without any further work.
At this membership fee rate, your organization achieves cost savings if you average only 2-3 attendees per session, plus the administration savings.
Premium Plus Corporate Membership – This membership category is the same as Premium, except that it includes up to ten (10) PRE-PAID attendees per BECOR event.
