On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Building Envelope Council Ottawa Region (BECOR), it is with great pleasure and excitement that I introduce BECOR’s new website. This website provides a renewed opportunity for BECOR to connect and communicate with our members and with the broader building community in the Ottawa region.
Through our website, BECOR proudly displays the logos of our corporate members, to acknowledge their continued support, commitment, and contributions that allow BECOR to continue serving the local building industry with state-of-the-art knowledge and information related to building science and building envelopes.
Our website also reflects the growing relationship BECOR has with the local academic institutions, especially our affiliation with the Algonquin College Bachelor of Building Science Program. Web-pages are dedicated to highlighting synopses of selected student projects as well as showcasing those third or fourth year students enrolled in of the Bachelor of Building Sciences program that received a BECOR bursary.
The Board is actively planning and preparing events for the 2022-2023 BECOR program. We look forward to engaging with members representing diverse sectors of our building industry; design professionals, government agencies, contractors, institutions, manufacturers, building owners and managers and individuals. BECOR events offer an excellent forum to learn, exchange ideas, and to network with other like-minded individuals involved and interested in building envelope construction and performance.
